Pro® Synergy Ceramic Trim Coating: Restore Faded Plastics Back to Factory Condition
May 27, 2026
Faded, gray, or chalky black plastic trim is one of the fastest ways a well-maintained car starts looking old and neglected. Door handles, bumpers, side mirrors, window pillars, and interior pieces lose that deep factory-black look due to UV exposure, oxidation, and environmental wear. Traditional trim dressings offer a quick fix but attract dust, sling onto paint, and wash away in weeks.
Pro® Synergy Ceramic Trim Coating changes the game by both restoring and protecting in one durable application.
Why Traditional Trim Products Fall ShortMost dressings are oil- or silicone-based. They sit on the surface, look great initially, but:
- Attract dirt and dust quickly
- Wash off or wear away after a few car washes or rainstorms
- Leave a greasy feel
- Require frequent reapplication
What Makes Pro® Synergy Ceramic Trim Coating Different? This innovative product from PRO® is designed specifically for plastic and rubber trim (interior and exterior). Key benefits include:
- Restores factory appearance — Brings oxidized, faded trim back to a deep, rich black.
- Super hydrophobic — Water, dirt, and contaminants bead up and roll off easily.
- Long-lasting protection — Up to 1 year of durability and 300+ washes.
- Chemical & heat resistant — Stands up to sun temperatures, car washes, and detailing chemicals.
- Easy to apply — No special tools required for great results.
- VOC compliant and available in a convenient 50ml bottle.
Step-by-Step: How to Apply Pro® Synergy Ceramic Trim Coating
For best results, follow this process:
- Clean Thoroughly
Wash the vehicle and clean the trim with a dedicated plastic/rubber cleaner or isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution to remove dirt, oils, waxes, and oxidation. The surface must be completely clean and dry. - Prep the Surface
Wipe clean free of water and surface is completely dry. - Apply the Coating
Shake the bottle well. Apply a small amount to a foam applicator or microfiber applicator pad. Work it into the trim evenly in straight lines or small sections. A little goes a long way. - Level and Buff
Allow it to flash (usually a few minutes) then buff lightly with a clean microfiber towel for a streak-free, natural finish. Repeat process up to 3 times for heavily faded trim. - Cure
Keep the vehicle dry for 24 hours for full curing. Avoid washing for the first week if possible. Leave the vehicle in the sun if possible.
Real-World Performance
Users and longevity tests show Synergy holds up well under regular washing and outdoor exposure, maintaining that deep black look without the greasy shine of traditional dressings. It works excellent on fender flares, plastic trim on bumpers, mirror caps, door pillars, and interior dashboards.
